Women’s 10K T-Shirt Revealed
11 April 2024
Following its debut success in 2023, the Moy Park Belfast City Women’s 10K returns to the iconic Titanic Quarter on Sunday 23rd June 2024. The female only event is open to runners, joggers and walkers aged 15 and over.
All participants will receive a bespoke flour pink t-shirt in their race pack alongside their all-important bib number. The good news is organisers are starting to post packs ahead of the event, so ladies can wear their t-shirt as they train for their 10K challenge!
The t-shirt shows off the towering Harland and Wolff Crane’s that participants will pass at close proximity on the 23rd June. The 10K route soaks up sights of some of the city's greatest attractions, such as SS Nomadic, the Great Light and the Thompson Dock along the Maritime Mile. But this event is more than just a scenic route - it gives women the opportunity to take part exclusively with a community of strong and supportive women.
Modelling the event t-shirt for the first time as they enter their running girl era is Laura Cassidy alongside Ellie, Melissa, Sarah, Maria, and Rebekah.
Laura Cassidy, Owner and Founder at Bumble & Bee, said;
“Running is something I have always loved the thought of doing but I could never really get into.
I had tried years ago to train for an event in Omagh but I couldn’t get into it at all.
I decided to do the Moy Park Belfast City Women’s 10k to challenge myself to get active and be outdoors more, but I knew it would be more fun doing it with others.
Sarah and I asked through our social platforms if any other ladies wanted to get involved and we have ended up with 50 fabulous ladies in the group. We have a whatsapp group where we share our runs, plan group runs and it’s a great way to motivate each other. The ladies are at all different levels, from never running to the pros. I am a beginner and I am really enjoying the training so far.
The Moy Park Belfast City Women’s 10k is a fantastic event which brings females together, getting us out and active all while supporting such a great cause. Cancer impacts all of our families and I understand how important services offered by Cancer Focus NI are to those affected. I am delighted to contribute to fundraising for this amazing service.”
All participants can use the event as a platform to raise vital funds for our Official Nominated Charity, Cancer Focus NI. Cancer Focus NI supports local cancer patients, their families and carers, funds research and campaigns for better health policies.
